The balance between real life and make-believe has always seemed precarious in the headquarters of World Wrestling Entertainment. From a Senate run to wrestler deaths, the WWE manages to stay in the news. This time it’s for something that has to do with the back-end business rather than breaking tables on some poor sap’s back.
In a press release from World Wrestling Entertainment, effective January 1st, vice-president of global media Shane MchMahon, in a surprise move, has tendered his resignation from the organization. “It has been an incredible experience to help build WWE into a global phenomenon,” Shane McMahon said. “However, having been associated with this organization for the majority of my life, I feel this is the opportune time in my career to pursue outside ventures.”
